About The Author's Professional Work

 
Ms. Davis began her professional work in the early 1970s.

Ms. Davis began her professional career in design and fine arts, with further study in the professional area of architecture. Ms. Davis then studied at the graduate level in management and energy engineering; with further graduate work at the doctoral level in civil engineering and environmental science and law.

The projects which Ms. Davis has made major contributions to include DOD projects, energy engineering and energy conservation projects, environmental science projects, U.S. Post Office facilities and buildings, municipal court houses including criminal court houses with Intelligence Agency offices and holding cells, public grade schools, private grade schools, colleges, universities, parking garages, airports, light rail and high speed train systems and facilities, subways and underground links, security ssystems, fiber optics, facility electronic infrastructure, light industrial facilties, commercial buildings, powerplants, golf courses and supporting structures, restaurants, boutiques, stores, large-scale office design, music colleges, libraries, performing theaters
cluster condominiums for empty nesters, seniors and the disabiled, hospitals and clinicks with medical offices, laboratories and research/classroom/operating theatre complex structures, sustainable green design and energy engineering and management Codes and Laws applied to contract drawings. 
 
In addition, Ms. Davis serves as a professional consultant on several sub-committees for The American Society of Testing Materials, researching and writing custom-written regulatory guides and custom-written technical specifications for scientists, manufacturers, green design, hot cells, OSHA, ISO 9000, and sustainability issues to architects and engineers.
 
In addition to being a published author, Ms. Davis is also an adjunct part-time teacher, while also serving as a free-lance consultant to scientists and manufacturers and contractors in the capacity of professional expert in technical research of materials and a specifications writer, who has developed a unique professional QA/QC methodology. 
 
Ms. Davis has written several textbooks for the professional design community on professional contract documents, technical specifications writing, energy engineering and science, sustainability issues, and has been a guest lecturer at various colleges and universities throughout the U.S.A.
